About Crystal Long

One young couple met Crystal Long at an open house, where her son was helping out as her assistant for the day. When she learned they were first-time buyers, she stopped to give them tip after tip about what to look for. They left amazed that she'd taken the time, and they wrote that "it was so refreshing talking with a realtor that wasn't super aggressive." That weekend she welcomed them to her office with Round Rock Donuts, walked them through the whole process and showed them a home she thought they'd like. It was the one. They found their home on the very first day.

New construction, from the first lot to the final walk-through

Many of Crystal's buyers are building, and she stays with them the whole way: choosing the builder, picking the lot, the design center and the build itself. When clients are out of town, she visits the construction site and sends updates. She also speaks up. When one family ran into problems with their builder, "Crystal immediately went to work on demanding compensation." When another nearly walked away over trouble with the builder's lender, she kept pushing on their behalf until they closed. Veterans and military families

Veterans make up a big part of Crystal's business, and she holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation. One thing she wishes more veterans knew: depending on eligibility, you may be able to keep a home you bought with a VA loan as a rental and use a VA loan again on your next home, still with zero down. Military families often have to buy from far away. "As a military family, we had to do most of this remotely and Crystal really went above and beyond for us," one wrote. Moving here from somewhere else

Crystal's clients have moved here from Los Angeles, Boise, North Carolina and across the country. She does virtual tours and video chats when buyers can't be here. One family had just a few days in town; she lined up their builder appointments and a list of rentals to tour, then negotiated a lease that ended just as their new home was finished. She also has a habit that helps newcomers: while touring a home, she pulls up the buyer's workplace and shows them several commute routes, not just the average drive time, so they know they'll have options. After one cross-country move, a family wrote, "She advocated for us at every turn."

From the numbers to people

Crystal earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting. She waited tables in college and loved meeting different people every day. Later she kept the books for a real estate investment company, but the spreadsheets didn't talk back, and she missed people. Her eye for numbers helps in negotiations and contract reviews, and she genuinely likes her clients. "I get attached to them," she says. She met Kasey when he was teaching a class, and today she also serves as JRE's agent growth manager, the colleague other agents call when they hit a tricky situation. She works with many of the brokerage's higher-end clients and holds the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designations.
