Hutto is the fastest-growing city in our area, up about 67% since 2020 to more than 46,000 people, about 22 miles northeast of downtown Austin along US 79 and SH 130. It has a new Co-Op District downtown, the Hutto Hippos, and it sits about four miles from Samsung's semiconductor plant in Taylor.

Hutto ISD serves essentially all of the city, and some neighborhoods with Round Rock addresses, like Siena, are also Hutto ISD. Confirm assignments with the district's school finder.
For 2025 the City of Hutto rate was $0.385928 per $100, Hutto ISD was $1.2052 and ESD 3 was $0.10; with Williamson County and the other local units, a home inside city limits totals about $2.16 per $100 before exemptions. The city provides water, wastewater and trash in most areas, but Manville Water serves Riverwalk and a few other subdivisions and Jonah Water serves others, so check by address.
US 79 and SH 130 are the main routes. The Co-Op District has City Hall, the library, Southside Market and restaurants, and chip-equipment maker ASML is opening offices there. The city maintains 165 acres of parks, including Hutto Lake Park, plus about 8 miles of trails, and Olde Tyme Days runs each October. Williamson County approved incentives in 2026 for a proposed Blue Origin plant with up to 2,000 jobs.
