Hey friends — your Hays County real estate insiders here (aka the Jorgenson Group) — ready to guide you through a fall calendar full of charm, community, and fun. Whether you’re a longtime resident or eyeing a move to San Marcos, Kyle, Dripping Springs, or anywhere in between, October 2025 in Hays County, Texas is shaping up to deliver. Here’s our lowdown on upcoming events you won’t want to miss.

🌿 Nature, stars & Jacob’s Well Tours

For a bit of outdoorsy magic, Jacob’s Well Natural Area will host tour dates in October (including on October 4 and October 11) where you can explore the geology, ecology, and nighttime wonders under the stars. (For more info and schedule, check the Jacob’s Well site).

These tours are perfect for families, nature lovers, or anyone who enjoys the kind of peace that comes with a flashlight, a trail, and a sky full of stars.

🍷 “Pinot For Your Thoughts” & cultural nights in Wimberley

Over in Wimberley, one event already popping up on the schedule is “Pinot For Your Thoughts” scheduled for October 2 at Patio Dolcetto. It’s a cozy evening pairing wine with discussion, music, or artistic flair — great for couples, creatives, or anyone who likes a good glass and good conversation. (pinot for your thoughts)

Wimberley also frequently features galleries, live music, markets, and pop-up arts events, so keep your eyes on local calendars (Eventbrite is a good one).

🎭 San Marcos & city happenings

In San Marcos, fall festivals and events tend to ramp up as the weather cools. While the full October lineup isn’t always public far in advance, the Visit San Marcos events calendar provides regular updates on concerts, art markets, performances, and more.

If there’s a film screening, local concert, or walkable market, that’s your signal to mark the calendar.

🗓️ Tips & tricks for enjoying October in Hays County

  • Stay flexible — events get added all the time, especially small arts nights or food truck pop-ups.

  • Watch weekend schedules — many outdoor events happen weekends only, especially in Wimberley or San Marcos.

  • Mix indoor + outdoor — pair a Jacob’s Well tour with a cozy evening market or dining in downtown San Marcos.

  • Check transportation & parking — some venues (especially downtown) have limited parking or offsite lots.

  • Tap local calendars — follow city or county event pages (Hays County govt, San Marcos, Wimberley) for last-minute updates.
