Hey there, from your neighborhood real estate squad, the Jorgenson Group! As the year winds down (how did that happen?), December in Williamson County, Texas is always magical—and full of events that remind us why we love calling this place home. Whether you’re in Georgetown, Round Rock, Taylor, or somewhere in between, this month brings craft fairs, holiday strolls, community parties, and more. Here’s our insider roundup of what to put on your calendar in December 2025.

🎄 Georgetown Candyland Christmas Stroll (Dec 5–7)

One of the crown jewels of December in WilCo is the 44th Annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll, December 5–7, 2025. The Downtown Georgetown Association transforms the historic square into Candyland with over 200 artisan and boutique vendors, holiday storefront displays, a themed parade, live music, kids’ activities, and Santa’s Candy Throne. (More at the Georgetown Stroll event page).

Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with street closures and festive decor extending through the weekend. It’s free (though donations & toy drives are encouraged), making it a perfect family outing.

🧶 Holiday in the Park & Craft Fair — Round Rock

If downtown Round Rock is your stomping ground, don’t miss the Holiday in the Park & Craft Fair on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Cat Hollow Park (8320 O’Connor Drive). The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. and is free for all ages. Expect local crafters, live music, carriage rides, train rides, inflatables, Santa visits, and hot cocoa.

It’s a cozy, community-centered celebration—great for families and for crossing off local shopping ideas.

🎁 WCDP Holiday Party — Georgetown (Dec 5)

For folks who like a mix of civic engagement and holiday cheer, the Williamson County Democratic Party (WCDP) Holiday Party takes place December 5, 2025, at Georgetown Community Center (445 E. Morrow St) beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Silent auctions, community mingling, and festive energy make this one a good pick if you like your celebrations with a side of local connections.

🎨 Artist of the Month Exhibit / Museum Events

During the Christmas Stroll weekend, The Williamson Museum (716 S. Austin Ave, Georgetown) participates actively. Its “Artist of the Month” series continues during December, with exhibits open and integrated into the Stroll weekend (December 7 is one key date).

Also, the museum frequently schedules Swedish Candlelight Christmas events in mid-December, featuring traditional crafts, Julbord tastings, and living history.

🎅 Jorgenson Group’s Tips for a Merry December

  • Dress in layers: December weather in Central Texas can be unpredictable—mornings brisk, afternoons mild.

  • Arrive early for the big events: The Stroll and craft fairs tend to draw a crowd.

  • Support local vendors: Shop art, gifts, and crafts at the events—and consider adopting a local maker or small business.

  • Mix big + small: Use the Stroll as your anchor, then slot in the Round Rock fair or museum exhibit for more low-key fun.

  • Watch for updates on schedules: Holiday events often have tweakable dates or times—check official event pages before heading out.
